Speech title: Feature Engineering for Remaining Useful Life Prediction

Abstract: Feature engineering plays a vital role in various data-driven applications, especially in the field of Prognosis and Health Management (PHM) for complex engineering systems. Accurate prediction of Remaining useful life (RUL) is the cornerstone to realize PHM, which cannot work without smart use of massive data. Little can be achieved if there are few relevant and robust features extracted to represent the underlying degradation behavior. This talk will discuss the several key issues in feature engineering and RUL prediction, and present recent progress of the speaker's group, and finally discuss some novel perspectives along this direction.
